In many instances, you are your own worst critic and the things that you’re spending your time and energy thinking about haven’t even crossed anyone else’s mind. Think of it this way — if someone else had made the mistake that you made and you were in a position to be kind and forgiving, would you? The answer is probably yes, and that means that you should be kind and forgiving of yourself as well.

How Can You Start Feeling Better?

But what can you do to keep moving forward? Practice self-care! 

There are many ways to do this, of course, and you can make it as simple or as extravagant as you like. It could be something small like treating yourself to lunch at your favorite restaurant or buying a new plant to keep on your desk at work. Sometimes it’s the little things that add up to make the biggest difference.

Another great tip is to practice some positive affirmations; simply think of an encouraging statement and remind yourself that it is true for you.
